| 08/16/2021 | COT - BASN - Drainage/Basin - Condition Inspection | Re-inspection required | I CONTACTED CHUCK WITH CAYLOR CONSTRUCTION TO DISCUSS THE STANDING WATER ISSUES IN THE BASIN AND DRAINAGEWAY OF THE SHALOM SUBDIVISION. THIS WATER IS STANDING PAST THE 12 HOURS MAXIUM LIMITS AND HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO OUR ATTENTION BY A PRIVATE CITIZEN. THERE IS STANDING WATER IN THE BASIN AT THIS TIME ON THIS DATE PAST THE MAXIMUM 12 HOUR DOWN DRAIN LIMIT FROM THE LAST RAIN. I HAVE NOTIFIED CHUCK CUSHMAN (520) 237-8609 WHO LIVES AT 1640 JACKIE RANCH PLACE TO DISCUSS THE ISSUES AT HAND. HE WAS THE CONTRACTOR SUPERVISOR DURING THE SITE CONSTRUCTION AND NOW RESIDES ON THIS SITE AS AN HOA MEMBER. I HAVE ADVISED HIM THAT THE SUBDIVISION IS IN VIOLATION OF THE SWPPP'S FOR THE STANDING WATER AND WILL NEED TO CONTACT AN ENGINEER TO SEE WHAT TYPE OF WORK WILL NEED TO BE DONE TO BRING THIS SITE BACK INTO COMPLIANCE. WE HAVE AGREED TO MEET ONSITE AT 11:00 IF POSSIBLE TO LOOK OVER WHAT THE SITE CONDITIONS ARE LIKE SINCE THE LAST RAIN. I ARRIVED ON THE SITE AT AROUND 12:00 AND STARTED TAKING SOME PICTURES OF WHAT THE CURRENT CONDITIONS OF THE SITE ARE AT THAT TIME. THERE IS STANDING WATER IN THE BASIN AND THE DRAINAGE WAY, APPROXIMATELY 1 TO 6 INCHES, DEPENDING ON THE LOCATION. THESE PHOTOS WILL BE DOCUMENTED IN MY COMPUTER IN A FILE FOR THE SHALOM SUBDIVISION, IT WILL ALSO CONTAIN THE PHOTOS THAT WERE TAKEN ON 7/26/2021, THE DATE THAT I RECEIVED THE ORIGINAL COMPLAINT FROM JOHN VAN WINKLE AND PERFORMED A SITE VISIT. MOST OF THE PHOTOS THAT WERE TAKEN WERE SENT TO CHARLES CUSHMAN, AND KEVIN HALL/CYPRESS CIVIL DEVELOPMENT(ENGINEER OF RECORD FOR DP18-0274). KEVIN HALL ADVISED ME THAT HE NO LONGER HAS ANY OBLIGATIONS TO THIS SITE SINCE THE DEVELOPMENT PACKAGE HAS BEEN APPROVED AT THIS TIME. I HAVE ASKED THAT CHARLES CUSHMAN AND THE SHALOM HOA HIRE A CIVIL ENGINEER TO FIND A SOLUTION FOR THE STANDING WATER COMPLAINT ON THIS SITE. | 07/26/2021 | COT - BASN - Drainage/Basin - Condition Inspection | Re-inspection required | I RECEIVED A REQUEST FROM JOHN VAN WINKLE WITH THE CITY OF TUCSON TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT TO LOOK INTO STANDING WATER IN THE SUBDIVISION AT 8211 E LEE STREET. I DROVE OUT TO THE SITE AND NOTED THE FOLLOWING: THERE IS STANDING WATER IN THE ONSITE BASIN (APPROXIMATELY 6 TO 8 INCHES) AND IN THE DRAINAGE WAY FROM THE STREET (APPROXIMATELY 1 TO 2 INCHES). IT APPEARS THAT THIS WATER HAS BEEN STANDING FOR SOME TIME SINCE TAD POLES HAVE BEEN NOTED IN BOTH AREAS. I TRIED CONTACTING ONE OF THE RESIDENTS WHO I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT DURING THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE SITE, BUT HAD TO LEAVE A MESSAGE FOR HIM TO CONTACT ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE SITE CONDITIONS WILL BE PLACED INTO THE SUBDIVISION FILE ON MY COMPUTER AT A LATER DATE. |
