| 09/27/2018 | SIGN SITE REVIEW | Continued | RE: sign permit review For: The MARIST AT: 235 S Church / 64 E Ochoa Zoning: C-3 Building - Contributing structure on National Historic Register Plan: IID overlay Sign District: Pedestrian District - Downtown Reviewer: H. Thrall Date: 9/26/18 1) Pedestrian District - residential use, sign area ok, per application. 2) Match signs to location on approved development plan sheet - aerial is no longer how site is designed. (emailed contractor) 3) Unclear if these are freestanding signs - note, freestanding signs are only permitted if the BUILDING is 10' from right of way. Show buildling setbacks. 7A.11.2. Further review comments may be forthcoming. 4) This property was reviewed by zoning under the IID process, to which the site was reviewed for historic context, but not the sign. The building is a contributing structure on the National Register of Historic places and within downtown, thus a minor historic review applies per UDC 5.1.2.6.E.2.a.1. (contractor emailed with historic application). 5) Provide side view of mounting for each sign. 6) send revised plans to Heather.Thrall@tucsonaz.gov and fill out historic application. Minor Historic Reviews are done in the field and scheduled by Michael.Taku@Tucsonaz.gov at a cost of $126.50. |
