10/15/2018 COT - ENGR - Signage Final DROBERTS Partial Approval Entered by DROBERT5 - THE CREWS HAVE PLACED THE GROUT FOR THE NEW WALL FULL DEPTH, THEY HAVE STOPPED THE GROUT 3 COURSES DOWN FROM THE TOP OF THE WALL. THIS PORTION OF THE GROUT WILL BE POURED WITH THE SOLID SECTION THAT WILL BE POURED AT A LATER DATE WHEN THEY HAVE THE UPPER STEEL AVAILABLE FOR THE TOP COURSE. THE DRILLING OF THE FOOTER FOR THE NEW INBEDDED AND EPOXY REBAR HAS BEEN WITNESSED AND BEEN INSPECTED BY THE SPECIAL INSPECTOR FOR THIS SITE, REPORTS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR THIS WORK.
10/05/2018 COT - ENGR - Signage Final DROBERTS Continued Entered by DROBERT5 - MET ONSITE WITH ROB EAST NAD LOOKED AT THE PAPERWORK THAT HE WILL BE SUBMITTING FOR THIS SIGN AND THE WORK THAT DID NOT GET INSPECTED. HE WILL HAVE HIS ENGINEER OF RECORD STAMP THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR THE UNSEEN WORK AND WILL SUBMIT IT TO THE SIGN DEPARTMENT FOR THEIR REVIEW AND APPROVAL PRIOR TO CALLING IN ANYMORE INSPECTIONS. HE HAS ADVISED ME THAT THEY WILL BE OPENING THE LOWER BLOCKS IN THE CELLS WHERE THEY WILL BE DRILLING AND PLACING THE EPOXIED REBAR INTO THE FOOTER. HE WILL ALSO PROVIDE THE DOCUMENTS SHOWING THAT THERE IS ENOUGH OF THE FOOTER NOT REQUIRING ANY ADITIONAL CONCRETE FOOTERS TO BE POURED.
09/17/2018 COT - ENGR - Signage Final DROBERTS Denied Entered by DROBERT5 - THE EXTERIOR WALL HAS BEEN CONSTRUCTED AND HAS NOT BEEN INSPECTED BY MYSELF FOR EITHER THE FOOTER OR THE CONSTRUCTION AND GROUTING OF THE WALL. I CONTACTED PAUL BLEIER AND ADVISED HIM OF THE FOLLOWING WORK THAT HAS NOT BEEN INSPECTED AT THIS TIME: 1) THE NEW FOOTER WHAT WAS UTILIZED FOR THE PLACEMENT OF THE NEW WALLS. HE ADVISED ME THAT THE REBAR FROM THE OTHER WALL WAS BENT OVER AND PLACED INT THE NEW LOCATION FOR THE NEW WALL. 2) THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW WALL WAS NOT INSPECTED BY MYSELF OR OTHERS PRIOR TO THE PLACEMENT OF THE GROUT, CANNOT VERIFY IN WHAT CELLS THE REBAR HAS BEEN PLACED AND THE HEIGHT OF THE OVERLAP FOR THE REMAINING PORTIONS OF THE WALL. 3) I HAVE ASKED THAT THE ENGINEER OF RECORD STAMP AND SEAL A LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE FOR ALL OF THE WORK THAT WAS NOT WITNESSED BY THIS DEPARTMENT, PRIOR TO THE PLACEMENT OF THE FINAL LIFT OF THE GROUT FOR THIS SIGN.

THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS HAVE BEEN ADDED TO THE SIGN EXCAVATION LAYOUT FOR THIS PORTION OF THE INSPECTIONS. REMOVE ALL EXCESS SOIL FROM THE TOP OF THE CAISON PRIOR TO POURING THE FOOTER FOR THIS SITE. PROVIDE ME WITH A PHOTO THAT SHOWS ALL OF THE SOIL HAS BEEN REMOVED PRIOR TO PLACING THE CONCRETE.
