Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a house fire. Arrived and all the units have cleared the site and the arson investigator was on site. No one home at the time of the fire or next door of a duplex. The electrical had already been removed due to the damage of the fire. The gas was being turned off and was not holding pressure. The gas meter was pinned and will have to be checked to have the gas turned back on with a permit. The fire was in the kitchen area and appears that the stove area was the cause of the fire. The drywall was damaged in the kitchen and holes made in the ceiling to check for fire getting into the attic area. The exhaust fan was burned and hanging by the wiring. The fire damage was contained to the kitchen area and has smoke damage through out the house. The window in the front in the kitchen area was burned and has broken panes in the casement window. Was not able to locate the owner of the property or the tenant and called Arcaiden Industries to the site to have the property secured. Southwest Gas has issues with the gas line and will have to be checked by a license contractor. While securing the house the tenant did show up and she looked at the damage. She will get with the fire investigator due to she has not been home for 2-days. Did the posting on the front wood post on the front porch of Do Not Enter and the N.O.V. to Vacate. RV. |
