11/14/2018 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | VISITED SITE, MET WITH TPD OFFICERS WHO WERE IN PUSUIT OF A VEHICLE, ON A LONG HIGH SPEED CHASE THAT ENDED IN THE PARKING LOT OF 6238 E PIMA ST WHERE CAR DRIVER HIT A RETAINING WALL, DAMAGING A 8 FT SECTION OF THE WALL AND FLEW INTO THE ADJOINING STRUCTURE 6280 E PIMA 6 FT AWAY. THE CAR DAMAGED AND PLACED A HOLE, 6 FT X 6FT IN THE SECTION OF BLOCK WALL. CAR WAS PINNED IN A TREE. MY FINDINGS ARE AS FOLLOWS: >8 FT X 4 FT OF RETAINING WALL DIVIDING THE TWO PROPERTIES WAS DAMAGED. >6 FT X 6 FT OF BLOCK WALL WITH 5/8" REBAR. UNABLE TO DETERMINE IF WALL WAS BEARING. >APPROX 7 FT X 10 FT OF 2X 4 FURR OUT WALL AND DRYWALL DAMAGED. THERE WAS NO ELECTRICAL RUNNING THRU THE WALL OF THE DAMAGED AREA. >THERE WAS ALSO A COMMUNICATIONS OR DATA BOX TO THE NORTH OF THE DAMAGED WALL SECTION THAT WAS ALSO PARTIALLY DAMAGED AND PARTIALLY DETACHED FROM THE WALL. > ALL OTHER ISSUES PERTAINED TO DAMAGE TO THE LANDSCAPING IN BOTH 6238 AND 6280 E PIMA ST ARCADIAN WAS CONTACTED TO SECURE THE BUILDING, (2) 4 FT X 8 FT SHEETS WERE USED TO COVER THE OPENING. |
