08/15/2018 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a mobile home fire. Arrived and the unit was still on site and had the smell of electrical burning in the washroom. The was a dryer outlet that was exposed from the box, a washer machine, electric water heater that has been changed from gas to electric. The main electrical panel for the mobile home has been replaced with new and does not have the proper access or clearance where installed. There is no damage to the mobile home but does have the smell of burning and not able to locate where the smell is coming from. When the fire units arrived. there was smoke in the room and that is gone at this time. The main breaker at the pedistal is going to remain off until the permit has been issued and the work has been done by a license contractor. Did meet with management and the meter will be blanked to not allow power to the mobile home once the work has been completed and the mobile home checked through out for electrical issues. The water heater is setting in water on the pan for the water heater and not draining water or set up for the drainage of the water from the pan to the exterior. The owner of the mobile home will lock up once they are done getting items they need for the day and will be staying with family. RV. |
