07/25/2018 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | VISITED SITE, CHECKED THE POND FIRST AND FOUND THE POND WITH MAINLY PALM TREES AND A FEW OTHER TYPE TREES. IT APPEARED THAT TREES WERE BEING TRIMMED AND PALM FRONDS REMOVED FROM NOT ONLY THE POND BUT ALSO THE SURROUNDING AREA. FOUND TWO PALM TREES FALLEN INTO THE POND AS WELL. ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE POND I FOUND TWO 40 YD DUMPSTERS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING FILLED WITH TREE TRIMMIINGS. I ALSO FOUND THE FENCE THAT SURROUNDS THE POND PARTIALLY TAKEN DOWN TO ALLOW WORKERS TO TO ACCESS THE DUMPSTERS. SPOKE TO MANAGER JESUS WHO STATED THEY ARE CLEANING THE POND, THE TREES ARE BEING TRIMMED AND VEGETATION REMOVED THE POND. HE KNOWS LITTLE ABOUT UPKEEP OF PONDS BUT STATED IT WAS SUGGESTED THEY REMOVE ALL THE OVERGROWTH AND TRIM TREES BACK. THEY CONTACTED EXTREME PONDS WHO STATE ONCE THE OVERGROWTH IS REMOVED THEY CAN START TREATING IT MONTHLY. THERE IS ALSO A WATER FALL/ FOUNTAIN IN THE CENTER OF THE POND THAT KEEPS WATER CIRULATING. PARK APPEARS TO BE MOVING FORWARD, WORK IS IN PROGRESS. TRIED CONTACTING PIMA COUNTY HEALTH DEPT PATTI HENDERSON WHO INSPECTS THE PARK TO OBTAIN FURTHER INFORMATION ON THE MOSQUITO ISSUE, PATTI IS OUT, PARK IS IN COMPLIANCE WITH C/E ISSUES. CLOSE CASE. |
