05/14/2018 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a house fire. Arrived and all the units still on site and fire was down and the building was still smoking. The roof has a partial collapse and the masonry walls are cracked and leaning. The garage door has a wood beam lintel for the opening facing east. The north side has a 3' door that was locked and was forced opened to spay water on the hot spots. No one was allowed to enter the structure on the roof due the condition of the wooden framing on the roof and the masonry walls. The building belongs to the U of A and in the process of being demo'ed. The contractor did show and will be placing the fencing around the building until the structure is removed in a few weeks. Did talk a Mark Ostrand from Banner Health and he is the one who is taking care of the work being done on the property. Did talk to the supervisor Martin Romero and no paperwork will be issued due to the property belongs the U of A and has a permit and in the process of being removed. The fire did no damage to the main house which is vacant and secured. The contractor was in the process of installing the fencing when leaving the site.
