Arrived and all the units have left the site and the arson investigators still on site. The fire was on the stove and burned the cabinets over the stove. The drywall was burned and have heavy smoke damage through out the unit. Did make holes in the ceiling in the dinning room area to check for fire. Did have a broken window in the living room and that was broken prior to the fire. The electrical was removed at the meter due to the damage to the unit. The manager and maintenance were on site and had the unit secured. The manager signed the paperwork while on site and the tenant was Section 8 under Hud and was a Veteran. Redcross was called to the site for assistance for placement and was not able to assist due to the condition of the tenant and T.P.D. was called to assist on the placement. There was no other damage to other units. The main structure is OK. The heating and cooling are on a chiller system and will need to change the filter. Did do the posting of Do Not Enter on the front door. RV. |
