03/14/2018 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | Was sent to the site at the end of the day due to T.F.D. on site with a building that has collpased. Arrived and the units has cleared the site and the captin was still on site. The property has a building under contruction and were in the process of setting trusses. A gust of wind came and knocked down a common wall or a wall that divides two units. The wall was braced but may have taken some off to move the trusses around. The wind knocked down the wall and landed on workers and had 2-injuries and were transported to the hospital. Had another wall that needed to be rebraced and was done while on site. The trusses were secured and braced at this time. The site has a permit and the wall will be rebuilt under the same permit. Did go over that OSHA needs to be called and they stated that they will be meeting tomorrow on site. The other walls that were installed were checked and at this time were secured and were lacking the drywall where the wall that fell had the drywall all the way up on both sides. The building did not collapsed and only the common wall fell. The bottom section of the unit is still intact and the wall was on the second floor that fell. The units that were affected were #5105 and #5106. No N.O.V. issued due to under a permit and current. RV. |
