Communication called that T.P.D. on site with a house lacking electrical. Arrived and the house has been vandlized with a broken window. The electrical has been remove due to non-payment. The meter base has signs of tampering with cutting the band off the meter. It has been replaced and has the red tag on the meter. The tenants that are in the house are not able to get the electrical back on due to need to make the payment before it will be turned back on. The tenants have been living in the house for some time and the person with the name on the electrical has left the site without paying the bill. Did let the tenants that are in the house that they need to leave due to the electrical will not be back on for some time to straighten the situation out. Did do the posting on the front window of Do Not Enter. Where the window was broken was in behind security bars and no board up was called in. Was not able to make contact with the property manager or the owner of the property. The tenants were refusing to sign the paperwork and they were if the refuse, that the house will be secured by the City of Tucson contractor and they will not be let in until the owner or the property manager let them in. T.P.D. was trying to find placement and was not able to find any assistance anywhere. A friend did show up and was willing to take them to the house for a few days. The tenants did sign the paperwork and I left the site and advise the tenants that they were able to take items out of the house but would need to be gone by dark and they stated OK. The owner shows that he lives in the house and not registered as a rental property. RV. |
