Rebar splices are typically 40 Bar Diameters or 20" in each direction of the CL-Center Line of a juncture. Lay on splice bar can be 40 inches long and 20" each way of opposing rebar juncture. Dobies can be purchased with tie wire in many sizes, your project could use 2" and 3" Dobies. See plan for underlayment and aggregate.
