11/06/2017 TDOT-EXCAV GENERAL INSPECTION Continued When I arrived around 8:30a traffic control was already in place to close off one of the SB lanes on Swan; I reprimanded Bill with Caylor and let him know that no lane closures are acceptable before 9am on major streets. Today, crews from Blanco (concrete sub) are pouring a small section of curb return (I've already approved the forms) and beginning sidewalk removals along Swan.
11/03/2017 TDOT-EXCAV GENERAL INSPECTION Continued Caylor with Blanco (concrete sub); crews finished forming the remainder of the north driveway entrance (after fixing an issue with a electrical sleeve that had been damaged). In addition, crews had the south driveway curb return formed. All forms approved, grade approved. I did have a question about the existing curb which was an integrated curb and gutter and brought it to the attention of Ronnie with Blanco, he said that the plans called for a paved driveway entrance and not a continuance of the curb and gutter. I checked the plans as well and it does call for a new paved driveway.
11/02/2017 TDOT-EXCAV GENERAL INSPECTION Continued Caylor project; curb poured, crews will be out later past 9am to begin sidewalk removals and getting new sidewalk and ramps formed. Per Bill they will be pouring tomorrow at 8:30a, I will head out there early to do a form inspection.
11/01/2017 TDOT-EXCAV GENERAL INSPECTION Continued Crews stripping the forms off of the curb poured yesterday, no other work in ROW today. 24 hour shoulder closure in place but no lane closure on Craycroft today.
10/31/2017 TDOT-EXCAV GENERAL INSPECTION Continued Caylor with Blanco (concrete sub), poured curb return (ROW) this morning (2,500psi mix/Vulcan) and sidewalk (on private property). Will inspect curb at a later time after it has cured.
10/30/2017 TDOT-EXCAV GENERAL INSPECTION Continued Checked curb forms and grade for curb return on NE entrance of the property. All forms and grade were accpetable, they will be pouring curb tomorrow.
10/26/2017 TDOT-EXCAV GENERAL INSPECTION Continued Caylor job; traffic control leading up to the site looked ok, no issues. When I arrived the crews were doing AC and concrete removals in the driveway area off of Swan. Will be doing removals and debris export the rest of the day. Will check tomorrow to see the progress. Lane closure will be down by 3p.
