11/08/2017 TDOT-EXCAV GENERAL INSPECTION Continued Met with Jose (SAP), they will be replacing 6 panels of concrete in a WCR that was poured out-of-spec. They will be sawcutting the panels today and doing the removals and pouring tomorrow.
11/02/2017 TDOT-EXCAV GENERAL INSPECTION Continued No work. SAP still needs to remove and replace 4 panels of WCR.
10/26/2017 TDOT-EXCAV GENERAL INSPECTION Continued SAP poured WCR yesterday, I went out to verify the cross slopes and four of the panels were out of spec. Later I met with Jose (SAP foreman) and Rocco (SAP super) and confirmed that the panels exceeded the slope tolerance. Pete also met us out there and we came to the agreement that the 4 panels will be removed and replaced sometime next week.
10/25/2017 TDOT-EXCAV GENERAL INSPECTION Continued Met with Matt and Rocco (SAP) around 8:00a to discuss scope; this is a Tucson Water repair that involves replacing one WCR and tying into existing sidewalk and a permanent asphalt patch in a driveway just west of Grant and Wilmot. We made adjustments to the WCR to ensure that it meets ADA requirements given the existing conditions. Crews will be doing removals and new curb today, WRC and sidewalk tomorrow, and back curb on Thursday. The AC replacement will be after the concrete work is complete. I came back later in the day to answer questions for Jose (SAP foreman) and check the curb grade. Curb grade accpetable.
10/25/2017 TDOT-EXCAV GENERAL INSPECTION Continued SAP working on a Tucson Water patch. Spoke with Jose (foreman) and verified the forms and grade for one directional WCR and sidewalk to matches. Forms acceptable. Compaction test was also acceptable. I came back after the pour while the crew was finishing, everything looked good. I will check the final product tomorrow after the concrete has been poured.
