11/03/2017 TDOT-EXCAV GENERAL INSPECTION Continued Open trench barricaded off east of the new sidewalk in driveway. Contacted APL that this permit has expired.
11/01/2017 TDOT-EXCAV GENERAL INSPECTION Continued 3 panels of sidewalk has been replaced match to match but the cross slopes exceed the 2% ADA requirement. However, the cross slope on the two matches are 3.7% on the south side and 2.3% on the north side. Asked Pete and since they are bound by two out-of-spec matches we can accept the sidewalk. Narrow trench behind the sidewalk still needs to be patched.
10/30/2017 TDOT-EXCAV GENERAL INSPECTION Continued Permanent pavement patch complete on Beverly. Barricades still in place around new concrete sidewalk repair. Still needs a permanent asphalt patch in the business driveway to the east of the sidewalk and out of the ROW.
10/26/2017 TDOT-EXCAV GENERAL INSPECTION Continued SWG/APL job, Johnny (APL) forming sidewalk (6") in driveway area. Grade was acceptable. Johnny poured the sidewalk at 11:30a and I stopped by again when the concrete truck was there, no issues. I reminded him that when finishes it to make sure that it does not exceed a 2% cross slope.
10/25/2017 TDOT-EXCAV GENERAL INSPECTION Continued SWG/APL project; spoke with concrete foreman Johnny, discussed making the sidewalk in the driveway area 6", placement of expansion for depressed curb and other issues. He will be forming the curb today and pouring tomorrow.
10/25/2017 TDOT-EXCAV GENERAL INSPECTION Continued Johnny (APL) onsite and finishing the forms for the depressed curb, will pour curb at 11a. Stopped in again around 1p and the curb was poured. He will begin forming the 6" driveway sidewalk and pour that tomorrow. No issues.
