This was a major repair to the 36th in Reclaimed water line on Glenn. The existing pipe was replaced with D.I.P and a new valve was added, just to the west of crafcroft. The existing pipe was replaced from craycroft to the area that broke near woodland. tucson water inspectors were on site throughout the project. Conforma tech performed compaction tests and asphalt tests. There were two issues with the project. The first Tucson water was not happy with removing Glenn from curb to curb, which they eventually agreed two. The second issue was Tucson asphalt asked for help with survey for the new paving,The roadway had overlay after overlay. Scott prectal from survey wanted to bring the road back doen to original grade, whic resulted in removing a excess amount of material. Tricon and tucson asphalt were not happy with the change at the end of a long repair. Tate from survey made sure the roadway had flow so there would be no standing water. No issues The one thing out of our control was, a new manhole was added, and pipe is at same location. because of this the new manhole causes a bump in the turn lane strip. Tom adkins verified that the best thing would be to leave the bump. The roadway is 25 MPH. |

Tricon replaced existing pipe from woodland to craycroft, with D.I. P. The process took a while because pipe had to be delivered and work was in a congested area. Tucson water was on site for pipe installation. The roadway was repaved from curb to curb at my request. Tucson water agreed. Issues with grade were resolved on site and through city survey crews. Tucson asphalt repaved the area with material supplied by Granite. No issues. Conforma tech was on site to estabalish a rolling pattern. No issues |
