The building owner shall be responsible to maintain the fire and life safety systems in an operable condition at all times. Service personnel shall meet the qualification requirements of NFPA 72 for maintaining, inspecting and testing such systems. A written record shall be maintained and shall be made available to the fire code official. 1) Your fire alarm system is not operational and receiving a power supply to the FACP. YOU SHALL REMAIN UNDER MANDITORY FIREWATCH AT ALL TIMES THE BUILDING IS OCCUPIED, until that time that your existing fire alarm system is restored to normal operation. You shall have a qualified individual or company perform any work to restore the alarm system to normal operation. If the currently approved and installed system can not be brought into normal operation and must be updated or replaced, the proper permits and drawings shall be submitted for a fire alarm system that meets the current code requirements. 2012 IFC 907.6.5 Monitoring. Fire alarm systems required by this chapter or by the International Building Code shall be monitored by an approved supervising station in accordance with NFPA 72. 1) Your fire alarm system is not being monitored by an approved UL Listed or FM approved fire supervising station. You shall have a qaulified individual or company submit drawings and apply for the proper permit to install a communication device and obtain a monitoring contract with a UL or FM listed fire monitoring company. 2012 IFC1006.1 Illumination required. The means of egress, including the exit discharge, shall be illuminated at all times the building space served by the means of egress is occupied. 1) The left emergency light on the combo exit sign/emergency illumination in the Javelinas room is burnt out. You shall cause all emergency lights to operate normally. 2012 304.1 Waste accumulation prohibited. Combustible waste material creating a fire hazard shall not be allowed to accumulate in buildings or structures or upon premises. 1) You shall remove the build up of dried leaves that are inside your 'outdoor' hotwater heater closet. These are a source of ignition and there is a pilot light for this gas fire appliance. |
