04/11/2017 FIRE INSP - STATE LICENSE Denied 2012 IFC 901.6 Inspection, testing and maintenance. Fire detection,
alarm, and extinguishing systems, mechanical smoke exhaust systems, and smoke and heat vents shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. No required fire protection systems and equipment shall be inspected, tested and maintained
or removed.
1) You shall have your Fire Alarm system tested and documentation on the report shall state that the horn on the exterior of the building can be clearly heard from all portions of the facility. The last annual inspection stated that the only horn (old 120 V System) could not be heard from the infant room. It is essential to life safety that this bell can be heard from every room.

2012 IFC 605.1 Abatement of electrical hazards. Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. Per NFPA 70210.8 (B) (5), where receptacles are installed within 6 feet of the edge of a sink they shall have ground-fault circuit-interrupter protection.
1) You shall have a qualified electrician bring the outlet in the kitchen (just above the sink installation) into compliance with the above standard that is referenced by the 2012 IFC.











2012 IFC 907.6.2 Power Supply. The primary power supply for your fire bell shall be in accordance with NFPA 70.
1) You have an old 120 V Fire bell on the exterior of the building. This bell is the only notification device for your school in the event of a fire or emergency. NFPA 70 760.41(A) Permits this circuit to be secured in the on position. You shall secure this circuit in the on position with a lock out switch.
2) The circuit providing power to the Fire Bell shall be labeled 'Fire Bell' per NFPA 70 760.41 (B).

2012 IFC 315.3.3 Equipment rooms. Combustible material shall not
be stored in boiler rooms, mechanical rooms or electrical equipment rooms.
1) You shall remove all combustible storage in your hot water heater closet. (Was removed immediately on site).
