Fire detection, alarm, and extinguishing systems, mechanical smoke exhaust systems, and smoke and heat vents shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. Non-required fire protection systems and equipment shall be inspected, tested and maintained or removed. 1) You shall provide a report of your last annual sprinkler inspection. 2) You shall provide a report of your last annual alarm system inspection. 3) You shall have an approved fire sprinkler system installer apply for a permit and submit plans for sprinkler coverage of the living area. Your current coverage is not sufficient (heads too far apart and off walls in some areas). 4) You shall replace missing escutcheon in outpatient reception area on residential side. 5) Sprinkler head in Room # 8 shall be replaced. 2012 IFC 904.11.6.1 Existing automatic fire-extinguishing systems. Where changes in the cooking media, positioning of cooking equipment or replacement of cooking equipment occur in existing commercial cooking systems, the automatic fire extinguishing system shall be required to comply with the applicable provisions of Sections 904.11 through 904.11.4. 1) The alignment of your cook-line is off with its coverage. This may be due to placement of the prep table and the shifting of appliances. You shall have a certified commercial kitchen hood suppression installer or service company assess coverage of your system and make necessary changes to the angle of the nozzles or appliance location. 2012 IFC 1006.1 Illumination required. The means of egress, including the exit discharge, shall be illuminated at all times the building space served by the means of egress is occupied. 1) You shall cause your emergency light in the M Cas Room to operate as stated above. 2012 IFC 1008.1.9 Door operations. Except as specifically permitted by this section egress doors shall be readily openable from the egress side without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort. 1) You shall remove key locking cylinder from egress side in Room #7. You may use a deadbolt with a ΒΌ turn. 2012 IFC 1008.1.9.5 Unlatching. The unlatching of any door or leaf shall not require more than one operation. |
