Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a building fire and went 2nd Alarm and the roof collapsed. Arrived the units were all still on site and fire was still active. The roof did collpased and appears that there was an explosion. The entire building was involved in the fire and is a total lost. The water was turned off at the street due to the sprinkler riser broke and not able to turn the water off. The gas was turned off at the street and the construction crew was on site to cap the line to the building. The gas meter was broken when part of the structure collapsed and broke the gas riser and that was burning when arrived and the valve in the street was turned off to remove the gas to the building. The electrical was turned off at a transformer. Left the site due to the building was going under a fire watch until daylight time and still has hot spots. The demo contractor BC was called to the property to have the walls knocked down in areas and check for hot spots. A section has been added to the east side of the building and was 2-story. RV. |
