09/16/2017 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a person falling the floor. ;Arrived and the unit was still on site a person from another unit had a wooden plank break and was wedged in and to remove her, another plank had to be cut. While removing the person from the floor, a fire fighter also broke a plank and almost went through the floor. Did check the wood 2x's and found where the planks are weather, cracked or rotting on the ends over the beam by the railing. Did ask the manager if they had maintenance on site due to will need to replace with plywood on top or block the deck until checked by a contractor. If nothing is going to be done to the deck, will need to vacate the units until check or repairs and deemed safe. The manager made a call and they did not have plywood on site and the person she talk to gave permission to call the City of Tucson contractor to the site to place plywood over the existing deck. Called Arcaiden Industries to the property and used 11-sheets and one 2' x 4' section to allow the use of the second floor to be used. The manager has a contractor on site and have this issue checked and advised to have all the other decks checked due to this was not the first time this has happened. Units that were affected were #219 where the incident happened, #220, #218. #217, #216. Will call tomorrow to check on the status of the contractor. RV.
