Date Description Inspector Results Comments
08/15/2017 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved The supervisor called and T.F.D. on site with a sink hole. Arrived and the fire units have cleared the site and a plumber was on site including the maintenance crew for the mobile home park. Did find a 2' x 3' hole and was approx 5' deep. The hole goes underground approx. 40 l.f. approx. 4' wide where a metal culvert has deteriorated at the top section and the sides are caving into the culvert area. Not able to see the damage due to the dirt has not fallen to expose the culvert. Has an entrance point approx. 100' to the east and cover with dirt and not able to get a visual on the damage of the culvert pipe. The culvert goes approx. 350 l.f. to the west of the hole and again not able to see the damage of the culvert pipe or where it exit. RAM Plumbing was on site and was looking and called an engineer to come and check the damage and check on doing the drawings for the permit that is going to be required to have the repairs and relacement done. The plumbing contractor was bringing a camera to place in the culvert to check the damage from the entrance of the culvert. Will call on the results of the camera. Did get permission to install a fence over the culvert area and blocked one driveway to space #40 and went to space #39 to the side of the mobile home. Space #41 is a vacant lot and the area was fenced off to the driveway and than went into the street area to allow for a backhoe to dig and place the dirt pile when The manager gave permission due to not able to get anyone to come today. Did talk to Martin Romero the supervisor to give the update of the fence and the plumber on site. The manager signed the paperwork and once the digging starts and have a better update of the trench, the tenants will be allowed to remain in the mobile homes at this time and will be evaluated at the time of digging. The engineer did show to the property and did look at the damage and the pipe at the entrance and tried to find the exit in a wash area and was not able to fine the exit. Did go over the permits and the inspection may require special inspection due to what the culvert id for a drainage system. Will check in 5 days. RV.
