INSPECTOR QUESTIONED SAFTEY OF ELECTRICAL TO LIGHT FIXTURE AND FAN. INSPECTOR TURNED OFF THE ELECTRICAL SWITCH AND UNPLUGGED FAN FROM POWER SOURCE. INSPECTOR SPOKE WITH SUPER RSALDATE WHO SENT INSPECTORS GGOODMAN AND RHOLLANDER TO ASSESS POSSIBLE HAZARD OF WATER LEAK ONTO ELECTRICAL FIXTURES. PER INSPECTORS GGOODMAN AND RHOLLANDER, NO HAZARD FOUND WITH LIGHT FIXTURES HOWEVER POSSIBLE HAZARD WITH FAN. INSPECTORS ADVISE FOR HOMEOWNER NOT TO USE FAN UNTIL LEAK IS REPAIRED AND FAN IS DRIED, ALSO A RECOMMENDATION TO REPLACE FAN DUE TO AMOUNT OF LINT THAT IS NOW SATURATED WITH WATER. INSPECTORS SPOKE TO TENANT AT 2210 WHO HAD A LEAKING TOILET HUB. WATER SUPPLY TO TOILET WAS TURNED OFF TO STOP LEAK. TENANT WAS ADVISED TO KEEP OFF UNTIL REPAIR WAS MADE AND TO SPEAK WITH TENANT BELOW REGARDING ANY POSSIBLE DAMAGES THE LEAK MAY HAVE CAUSED. INSPECTORS GGOODMAN AND RHOLLANDER ADVISED A NOTICE OF VIOLATION WAS NOT NESSESARY AT THIS TIME. WILL FOLLOW UP IN 10 DAYS. |
