My findings are as follow: >The electric exhaust fan in the bathroom appears to be to point of origin for the fire. The fan, light fixtures, receptacles and switches were damaged. The unit sub-panel was damaged. The breakers had heat damage. >The interior ceiling drywall in the bathroom and closet was removed for the fire to verify further extent. The ceilings and walls in the remaining portions of the unit received moderate smoke damage. >The roof was opened to vent the fire. >I met with the owner and issued NOV's for permits and emergency abatement. >Owner took responsibility for the securing the unit and signed the indemnification form. >Unit was posted unsafe to occupy. |
