FIRE WAS A SMALL PILE OF RAGS WITH LINSEED OIL THAT CAUGHT FIRE BUT WAS PUT OUT QUICKLY. TFD RESPONSED TURNED ELCTRICAL OFF AT MAIN SERVICE PANEL PUT OUT THE FIRE. UPON ARRIVAL I WAS FOUND NEW SHORING ADDED TO EXISTING FLOOR JOISTS. BUILDERS STATED THEY WERE SURE IT WOULD NOT REQUIRE PERMITS. THERE WERE NO FOOTINGS UNDER EACH POST, I CONTACTED BUILDING OFFICIAL CLAYTON TREVYLLAN WHO STATED THAT HE DEFFINATELY WANTED TO SEE PLANS AND PERMITS. JIM CAMPBELL STATED THAT PLANS HAD ALREADY BEEN COMPLETED BY THE ENGINEER AND COULD BE SUBMITTED TODAY. THE PROPERTY IS OWNED BY THE CITY OF TUCSON, BUILDING BEING LEASED BY RIALTO THEATRE. FIELD NOV WAS ADDRESSED TO RIALTO THEATRE. POWER WAS RESTORED TO THE BUILDING AND BUSINESS ALLOWED TO CONTINUE WITH NORMAL OPERATIONS. DO WANT TO NOTE THAT THEIR WAS OLD PIPING IN THE BASEMENT AREA FOR NEW ELECTRICAL. BOXES INSTALLED BUT HAD NO WIRING, AFEW DID HAVE WIRES FOR LIGHTING BUT MATT FROM RIALTO THEATRE WAS ADIMENT THAT ALL THAT WAS THERE UPON RIALTO'S LEASING OF THE STRUCTURE. |
