Received call that T.F.D. on site with a house fire. Arrived and the units were still fighting the fire and looking for hot spots. The fire affected the neighbors property with heat damage to the windows, painting on the walls and wood fascia and the roof may need to be check for heat damage. The fire appears to have started on the exterior of the house and went into the interior of the house. The carport, storage room and a added wood frame porch are all a total lost. The fire burned into the dinning room, kitchen, bathroom and a bedroom. The house has heavy smoke damage through out on plaster walls and ceilings. Some of the rafters were burned into the interior of the house and will all need to be checked. The house appears to be vacant and was secured at the time of the fire. Was not able to find or make contact with the owner and boarded up all the opening of doors and windows. Most of the windows were broken to vent the interior of the house and the fire broke some of the windows from the heat or the fire. A fence was installed in the front of the carport due to has an empty pool in the rear yard and the wood fence burned that was blocking the rear yard. Did do the posting of Do Not Enter on the front window and also posted the N.O.V. and the Notice to Vacate. On the the front window did find a sticker and appears from the maintenance department from the banks when taken over. Will check in 60 days. RV. |
