05/26/2017 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | Was called to the property for a fire in the upper unit and the water from the fire has leaked through the ceiling. The electrical has been removed at the switch gear due to not able to turn the electrical off to the unit and the panel in the unit is getting wet from the water going down the wall. There is no fire damage other than the drywall ceilings and walls are getting wet. The floor is flooded with water and will need to extract the water as soon as possible. The tenant has gone to another location and was not on the property. The manager signed the paperwork and did the posting of Do Not Enter on the front window. The management secured the unit. The gas was removed at the meter due to not able to get to the water heater in the attic and not sure what type of pilot it has and got damage during the fire. Will check in 10 days. RV. | |
05/26/2017 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | Visited the site to try to determine how electric is fed to the building. This building has been installed with the old feed thru panels. It appears that the first panel has multiple taps for additional feeds to pass thru to the other units as per oringinal design. An Electrical Contractor will be needed to isolate the pass thrus's to be able to reenergize the unaffected units. Spoke to the owner and he will have the contractor call us. Owners electrician is on site doing the isolation taps. |
