Received call from communication that T.F.D. on site with a gas ordor in the unit. Arrived and the unit was still on site and the unit was tested and measured for gas in the unit. All the doors and windows were opened to allow the gas to exit the unit. Southwest Gas was called to the site and found a gas valve for the stove leaking at the orifice area. The valve for the stove was turned off and the oven was left on due to no leaks when checked by Southwest Gas. The valve was tagged and called communication to have a housing tech. call to come and check the stove. The unit was under Section 8 and turn the case over to Section 8. The housing tech. call and will check the stove in the morning and advise that the valve was off under the stove. A survey for the gas was done and was OK and the master meter for the unit was checked and was OK. At this time the case will be closed and given to Section 8. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV. |
