Received call from communication that T.F.D on site with a house fire. Arrived and the fire unit was still on site and had a outlet that was smoking in the kitchen area. The electrical was turned off at the breakers on the exterior of the unit. Did pull the cover plate off and the fire was below the 4 x 4 box for 2-switches. The power was removed at the meter due to not able to make contact with the owner or the property manager. Not able to get an electrician on site to check the damage on the wiring. Appears that the wiring to the water heater has damage and needs to be check but damage to the wall will need to be done to see the wiring. At this time the electrical is being removed at the meter and requiring a permit for the re-connect. The gas was pinned at the meter and can be turned back on when the electrical is turned back on. The tenant signed the paper work and had a place to stay with some freinds. Will check in 30 days. RV. |
