Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a house fire. Arrived and the unit was still on site. The fire was in the hall bathroom in the ceiling where the exhaust fan burned. A hole was cut in the roof where the sheathing was burning. The drywall was pulled down in the ceiling to check for the fire extension. The insulation was removed in the area of the fire. The is a small amount fo charring on the rafters on both sides of the exhaust fan. Did have an electrician on site and the wires were cut and the switches were removed. The power was turned back on and checked if all is working and everything was turned back on and working. The water was turned off at the shut off valve in the front of the house by T.F.D. and was turned off with no leaks in the house. The gas was turned off at the valve by T.F.D. and called S.W.G. to have the gas checked if it could be turned back on. S.W.G. came to the site and the line test passed and the survey passed and the gas was turned back on. The owner was not allowed to remain due to a hole in the roof where the sheathing was removed due to burning. The owner signed the paper work and was going to stay with her sister. The owner was making calls to have the roof repaired to move back in and will be getting the permit tomorrow. Will check in 10 days. RV. |
