It allows cross slopes for the sidewalks up to 3%. I'm comfortable with their installation as long as they can pull a car up the driveway without hitting the front bumper. I couldn't verify that yesterday because they still had a pile of sand there when I went out. Please prepare to close this activity out as the loan must close today. CURRENTLY THE BIG ISSUE OUTSIDE OF THE LACK WITHOUT A PERMIT IS THAT THE SIDEWALK AND DRIVEWAY ARE NON COMPLIANT AND NEED TO BE ADDRESSED PRIOR TO THE FINAL APPROVAL OF THIS SITE. THE CROSS SLOPE OF THE SIDEWALK VARIES FROM 1.5% TO 15% AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS, THESE EXCEED THE MAXIUM ALLOWABLE OF 2%. THIS INSPECTION WAS TO BE CHARGED A SAME DAY INSPECTION FEE, BUT I HAVE NOT CHARGED THIS FEE DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE SITE IS NOT READY TO BE APPROVED. WE LOOKED AT VARIOUS SITUATIONS IN WHICH HE MIGHT BE ABLE TO ACHIEVE THE ADA COMPLIANCE, HE WILL DISCUSS THIS SITE WITH THE ARCHITECT FOR THE SITE AND THEN WILL MEET WITH THE REVIEW STAFF DOWNTOWN TO FIND THE BEST SOLUTION. |
