Chapter 3 Sign Code, Article IV. General Requirements, Sec. 3-42. Integrated architectural features:
To encourage and promote a harmonious relationship between buildings and signs, the sign code advisory and appeals board is authorized to approve a special permit in accordance with Article XI of this sign code for signs that are designed into and constructed as part of an integrated architectural feature of a building where strict application of the provisions of this sign code would otherwise prohibit such signs.

The following applies for wall signage on South & West elevations:

Chapter 3 Sign Code, Article IV. General Requirements, Sec. 3-35. Maximum sign area. Maximum sign area is determined in accordance with Article V, except that the maximum on-site total sign area for commercial, office or industrial uses located within two hundred fifty (250) feet of a freeway shall be four (4) square feet per foot of those portions of street frontage located within two hundred fifty (250) feet of the freeway.

Illuminated wall signage exceeding 1140 total square feet on the east elevation of the building, based on a 380' linear building street frontage off Tucson Marketplace Boulevard.

PUBLIC HEARING CASE #. T16SA00085 has been scheduled for April, 13th 2016, submittal can not be approved until variance case is closed, and if necessary appropriate revisions implemented.
