The means of egress, including the exit discharge, shall be illuminated at all times the building space served by the means of egress is occupied. 1) You shall place emergency lighting in exit hallways 2012 IFC 1008.1.9 Door operations. Except as specifically permitted by this section egress doors shall be readily openable from the egress side without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort. 1) There is a double key locking cylinder on both of the office doors (glass) that exit from that room. You shall cause the door that exits to the corridor to not require a key or special knowledge from the egress side. 2012 IFC 1008.1.9.5 Unlatching. The unlatching of any door or leaf shall not require more than one operation. 1) There are two methods of unlatching the 'parking entry door': You shall have only one method. 2012 IFC 1030.5 Nonexit identification. Where a door is adjacent to, constructed similar to and can be confused with a means of egress door, that door shall be identified with an approved sign that identifies the room name or use of the room. 1) You shall place 'not an exit' signs on door to the tenant space and both doors to patios. |
