Your shall have 2A:10B:C rated extinguishers within 75 foot walking distance of any point in your facility. 1) You shall replace existing extinguishers with extinguishers of the proper rating. TFC 907.6.5 Monitoring. Fire alarm systems required by this chapter or by the International Building Code shall be monitored by an approved supervising station in accordance with NFPA 72. 1) You shall provide evidence of the sprinkler system being monitored by a UL listed fire monitoring central station. TFC 901.6.2 Records. Records of all system inspections, tests and maintenance required by the referenced standards shall bemaintained on the premises for a minimum of three years and shall be copied to the fire code official upon request. 1) You shall provide records of the last annual inspection/ maintenance of your a) sprinkler system b) fire alarm system TFC 703.1 Maintenance. The required fire-resistance rating of fire-resistance-rated construction (including walls, firestops, shaft enclosures, partitions, smoke barriers, floors, fire-resistive coatings and sprayed fire-resistant materials applied to structural members and fire-resistant joint systems) shall be maintained. 1) You shall repair 2 holes in wall in mtg room 2) You shall replace ceiling tile where there is a gap around metal I beam protruding from space above ceiling. There shall be no opening in the fire rated ceiling other than planned vents and returns. 3) You shall repair/replace break in fire rated ceiling in office TFC 605.6 Unapproved conditions. Open junction boxes and open-wiring splices shall be prohibited. Approved covers shall be provided for all switch and electrical outlet boxes. 1) You shall have the vending machine wire repaired/replaced by a licensed electrician. ( several breaks in the conduit) 2) You shall place capped wires in the mtg room in a j-box. Uncapped open wires shall be capped and then placed in j-box. TFC 315.3.1 Ceiling clearance. Storage shall be maintained 2 feet (610 mm) or more below the ceiling in nonsprinklered areas of buildings or a minimum of 18 inches (457 mm) below sprinkler head deflectors in sprinklered areas of buildings. 1) You shall remove cups in joists and ceiling supports in Joyce's office. Combustibles must be maintained 18 inches below sprinkler head deflectors. TFC 605.5 Extension cords. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be a substitute for permanent wiring. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be affixed to structures, extended through walls, ceilings or floors, or under doors or floor coverings, nor shall such cords be subject to environmental damage or physical impact. Extension cords shall be used only with portable appliances. 1) You shall remove extension cord in a) Kim's office downstairs ( powering lights) b) Rich's office TFC 506.1 Where required. Where access to or within a structure or an area is restricted because of secured openings or where immediate access is necessary for life-saving or fire-fighting purposes, the fire code official is authorized to require a key box to be installed in an approved location. The key box shall be of an approved type listed in accordance with UL 1037, and shall contain keys to gain necessary access as required by the fire code official. 1) You shall order and place an approved lock box on the gated entry at the rear of the facility ( entrance to sprinkler riser room). |
