Violations are listed per address. Casa's De Los Nino's Administration Building 1101 N 4TH Ave Attn: Juan Ortega Re: Fire inspection On November 30, 2016 a fire safety inspection was conducted at the above location. The following violations were discovered and shall be corrected to gain compliance with the 2012 Tucson Fire Code. TFC 605.3 Working space and clearance. A working space of not less than 30 inches (762 mm) in width, 36 inches (914 mm) in depth and 78 inches (1981 mm) in height shall be provided in front of electrical service equipment. Where the electrical service equipment is wider than 30 inches (762 mm), the working space shall not be less than the width of the equipment. No storage of any materials shall be located within the designated working space. 1) You shall unblock electric panels in demark room and in printer room (shredding bin blocking) TFC 605.4.1 Power tap design. Re-locatable power taps shall be of the polarized or grounded type, equipped with overcurrent protection, and shall be listed in accordance with UL 1363. 1) You shall remove unapproved adapter from Stephanie's office TFC 605.6 Unapproved conditions. Open junction boxes and open-wiring splices shall be prohibited. Approved covers shall be provided for all switch and electrical outlet boxes. 1) You shall place a faceplate over open outlet in resources office TFC 1006.1 Illumination required. The means of egress, including the exit discharge, shall be illuminated at all times the building space served by the means of egress is occupied. 1) You shall cause EM # 7 light to operate. TFC 5303.5 Security. Compressed gas containers, cylinders ,tanks and systems shall be secured against accidental dislodgement and against access by unauthorized personnel in accordance with Sections 5303.5.1 through 5303.5.3. 1) You shall secure the helium tanks in the volunteer resources office (including empties). Fire detection, alarm, and extinguishing systems, mechanical smoke exhaust systems, and smoke and heat vents shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. Nonrequired fire protection systems and equipment shall be inspected, tested and maintained or removed. 1) You shall replace missing escutcheon plates ( Gopher room) 2) You shall have heads placed correctly below ceiling level ( Gopher room). The following violations were discovered and shall be corrected to gain compliance with the 2012 Tucson Fire Code. TFC 509.1 Identification. Fire protection equipment shall be identified in an approved manner. Rooms containing controls for air-conditioning systems, sprinkler risers and valves, or other fire detection, suppression or control elements shall be identified for the use of the fire department. Approved signs required to identify fire protection equipment and equipment location shall be constructed of durable materials, permanently installed and readily visible. 1) Fire department connections ( FDC's) shall have signage - White letters on red back ground - Permanent sign that indicates the address numbers of the which the FDC serves. Shall be placed above, next to, or below the FDC's in a spot visible from the street that address is located on. TFC 506.1 Where required. Where access to or within a structure or an area is restricted because of secured openings or where immediate access is necessary for life-saving or fire-fighting purposes, the fire code official is authorized to require a key box to be installed in an approved location. The key box shall be of an approved type listed in accordance with UL 1037, and shall contain keys to gain necessary access as required by the fire code official. 1) If access to the FDC's is blocked by fencing, an approved lock box that is visible from the street or parking area, shall be placed on or near the gate allowing access to those connections. |
