10/18/2016 | FIRE INSP - STATE LICENSE | Denied | TFC 1011.3 &1011.6.3 Exit sign illumination and power source. Exit signs shall be internally or externally illuminated at all times. In case of primary power loss the sign illumination means shall be connected to an emergency power system provided from storage batteries, unit equipment or an onsite generator. 1. You shall cause your exit sign over patio and main exit to operate on AC power as well as backup power. TFC 906.6 Unapproved Conditions. Open junction boxes and open-wiring splices shall be prohibited. Approved covers shall be provided for all switch and electrical outlet boxes. 1. You shall replace missing circuit #1 in breaker box in closet. TFC 1008.1.9 Door operations. Except as specifically permitted by this section egress doors shall be readily open-able from the egress side without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort. 1. You shall cause your kitchen exit door to unlock without the use of a key. TFC 1008.1.9.4 Bolt locks. Manually operated flush bolts or surface bolts are not permitted. 1. You shall remove surface mounted slide bolt on restroom doors. You may use a ΒΌ turn bolt or handle turn lock to secure door from the inside. TFC 509.1 Identification. Rooms containing controls for sprinkler risers and valves shall be identified for the use of the fire department. 1. You shall place a sign on the door containing the riser that states 'Sprinkler Riser'. TFC 1006.1& 1006.3 Emergency Illumination & Emergency Power for illumination. The means of egress shall be illuminated at all times. The power supply for means of egress illumination shall normally be provided by the premises' electrical supply. 1. You shall provide documentation of each emergency light throughout the facility being tested on battery or backup generator and remaining illuminated when the main building electrical supply is shut off. |
