TFC 703.1 MAINTENANCE The required fire-resistance rating of fire resistance-rated-construction (including walls, fires tops, shaft enclosures, partitions, smoke barriers, floors, fire-resistive coatings and sprayed fire resistant materials applied to structural members and fire-resistant joint systems) shall be maintained. 1) Repair /replace missing ceiling tiles over hot water heater in the janitor's closet TFC 605.6 UNAPPROVED CONDITIONS Open junction boxes and open-wiring splices shall be prohibited. Approved covers shall be provided for all switch and electrical outlet boxes. 1) Replace missing switch plates on the wall (both sides) in the admin hallway. TFC 903.4 SPRINKLER SYSTEM SUPERVISION AND ALARMS All valves controlling the water supply for sprinkler systems, pumps, tanks, water levels and temperatures, critical air pressures and water flow switches on all sprinkler systems shall be electrically supervised by a listed fire alarm control unit. 1) A lock out switch shall be placed on the #36 circuit labeled FA/Bell (Electric Panel 'P3' in surgical hallway) in order to maintain electrical supervision of your valves in your sprinkler system. TFC 901.6 Inspection, testing and maintenance. Fire detection, alarm, and extinguishing systems, mechanical smoke exhaust systems, and smoke and heat vents shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. Non-required fire protection systems and equipment shall be inspected, tested and maintained or removed. 1) You shall replace missing escutcheon plate in janitor's closet 2) Sprinkler head in break-room bathroom is too high (recessed into ceiling) and there is too large a gap between the escutcheon and the head allowing smoke and heat to pass by and not collect to set off head. |
