01/04/2017 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | VISITED SITE, KNOCKED ON TRAILER #64 DIRECTLY ACROSS FROM THE OFFICE, BUT RECEIVED NO ANSWER. TRIED CONTACTING THE TRAILER OWNER BUT LEFT A MESSAGE AND TAPED MY BUSINESS CARD TO THE FRONT DOOR. WALKED OVER TO THE OFFICE AND SPOKE WITH THE MANAGER WHO STATED THEY DO NOT OWN THE TRAILERS, THEY RENT THE SPACEAND SELL THE TRAILERS SO ALL TRAILERS ARE OWNER OCCUPIED. ** RECEIVED CALL FROM THE OWNER OF THE TRAILER BRITTANY OEHLERT AND TRIED TO EXPLAIN THAT THE CITY WOULD BE DOING A DISSERVICE TO HER BY ISSUEING HER A NOTICE OF VIOLATION TO MAKE THE NECESSARY REPAIRS TO THE TRAILER AND IF SHE WAS UNABLE TO MAKE THE REPAIRS WITHIN THE ALLOWED TIME FRAME, THE CITY WOULD END UP TAKING HER TO COURT. I SUGGESTED TO NICELY TRY TO MAKE ARRANGEMENT WITH THE TRAILER PARK FOR THEM TO MAKE REPAIRS THAT THEY THE MANAGEMENT PROMISED HER AT THE TIME OF THE SALE. BRITTANY AGREED THAT SHE DID NOT WANT TO GET THE CITY INVOLVED AT THIS POINT. NO VIOLATION / CLOSE CASE. |
