Received call from communication that T.F.D. on site with an apartment fire. Arrived and the fire units still on site and checking for hot spots. The fire investigators on site and checking for cause. While near the unit could smell gasoline. The fire was in the kitchen area. The tenant was warming the unit with the oven when the fire started. The tenant was working on small engine for bikes and had 2-bikes in the unit at the time of the fire. Found gas cans inside the unit. The fire was in the kitchen and the windows and the door were broken due to the fire that were burned. The owner did show on site and signed the paper work and will secure the units in the morning. Did go over that if the units are not secured by noon, that the City of Tucson will have the unit secured. Did the posting on the front window and took pictures. Southwest Gas was called back to the site to check the stove. Will check in 30 days. RV. |
