Received a call from communication to return to the site. Arrived and the unit was still being investigated but was allowed to check the other units. Did check units #135, #234, #235. These units were allowed for the tenants to remain in the units but will be checking with the Building Official on Monday if other inspection will be required when unit #134 is repaired. The gas was removed to units #134 due to the damage to the unit and #135 due to being told it's vacant. All the electrical will remain on for except for #134 due to the amount of damage to the unit. The unit has the sliding glass door broken and has one panel laying on the storage room wall with the door. the bedroom doors are broken in the middle of the doors and split from the frame of the door. Does have cracking on the edges in the living room, the bedrooms and popped nailes through out. The kitchen has the stove and oven where it lifted and pushed out. The kitchen cabinets have the molding not secured and loose on some pieces. The sliding door to the kitchen area is off track and the screen was blown off and laying against the sliding glass door. Once the investigation was completed, was allowed to take the supervisor into the unit to check the damage. The maintenance crew was called to have the sliding glass door opening secured with plywood covering the opening. All the windows were able to be locked and the manager supervisor was locking the door. Did do the posting on the front door of "Do Not Enter" and took pictures. The tenants were allowed to remove some of there items for the night and will be allowed to enter the unit with the management permission and opening the door. The supervisor signed all the paper work and was advised that all the trades will have to be done by a license contractors for each trade. Will check with the Building Official to check if other inspection will be requested. Will check on Monday. RV. |
