09/02/2016 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved VISITED SITE MET WITH TFD INVESTIGATORS LOOKING AT THE RISERS, THEY FOUND A 8FT X 16FT SECTION OF ROOF THAT HAD COLLAPSED. AREA WAS SURROUNDED BY SAND BAGS, PLANT MANAGER AND MAINTANENCE HAD BEEN CONTACTED.
COLLAPSED AREA WAS JUST TO THE SOUTH OF A SCUPPER. MAINTANENCE STATED THAT IT HAPPENED AROUND THE FIRST OF THE MONTH WHEN THEY RECEIVED APPROX 3-4 INCHES OF RAIN. LOOKING AT THE BREAKS IN THE RAFTERS, IT DOES APPEAR THAT THE SCUPPER COULD HAVE BEEN OVERLOADED WITH WATER AND THE STANDING WATER IN THE AREA CAUSED THE RAFTERS TO BREAK. THERE ARE 4 SECTIONS OF WAREHOUSE, THE MIDDLE TWO HAVE BEEN VACATED AND ONLY THE NORTH AND SOUTH SECTIONS ARE BEING USED AT THIS TIME.
