>RUBBER ON THRESHOLD REPLACED. SHIM PLACED BEHIND BOTTOM HINGE TO MINIMIZE GAP BETWEEN DOOR AND JAMP. WEATHERSTRP RESET TO THE DOOR ABATING THE ISSUE OF BUGS COMING IN AND SEEING DAYLIGHT.
>FRONT BEDROOM WINDOW CAULKED INSIDE AND OUTSIDE WITH SILICONE. COMPLETED BUT SLOPPY.
>PLYWOOD NAILED TO THE BOTTOM OF RAFTERS AT OVERHANG, WITH SAGGING SEAM WAS SREWED BACK UP CLOING THAT PARTICULAR GAP
>GAP ON THE OVERHANG WHERE STUCCO RAPS INTO THE PLYWOOD AT BOTTOM OF RAFTERS WAS SEALED WITH STUCCO DUE TO LARGER GAPS. ALL TREE WALL IN FRONT OF THE UNIT WERE COMPLETED.
ALL ISSUES ON COMPLAINT FORM WERE ADDRESSED. OCCUPANT PATRICIA BYRD STILL UNHAPPY. WHEN LEAVING THE UNIT I CONTACTED RICK SALDATE TO INFORM HIM OF THE OCCUPANT WHO DID NOT ALLOW ME TO FINISH SPEAKING OR EXPLAINING ANY OF THE WORK THAT WAS COMPLETED. OCCUPANT VERY UNHAPPY WITH MANAGER AND WHERE SHE IS LIVING. COMPLIANCE / CLOSE CASE.
08/30/2016 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved MET WITH OCCUPANT PATRICIA WHO ALLOWED ENTRY INTO THE UIT. APARTMENT WAS VERY CLEAN NO CLUTTER. I FIRST EXPLAINED TO THE OCCUPANT THAT BECAUSE THE UNIT WAS NOT A DESIGNATED HANDICAP UNIT THAT I COULD NOT MAKE THE OWNER PROVIDE A RAMP TO THE FRONT DOOR. SHE WAS AWARE OF THAT, WALKS WITH A WALKER DUE TO KNEE SURGORY AND CAN ADJUST TO NOT HAVING THE RAMP.
>CHECKED THE FRONT DOOR, RUBBER ON THE BOTTOM OF DOOR WAS PULLED BACK AND PROBABLY NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. COULD SEE A SMALL AMOUNT OF DAYLIGHT ON KNOB SIDE. I ASKED THAT OWNERS REPAIR OF REPLACE THE RUBBER ON THE DOOR SWEEP, AND ADD WEATHER STRIP TO THE KNOB SIDE.
>I VIEWED A VIDEO SHOWING A SMALL LEAK FROM 8/09/16, WHEN WE RECEIVED 3 INCHES OF RAIN DURING A BAD STORM. THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE OF DRYWALL DAMAGE, THERE WAS NO DRYWALL STAINING FROM THE LEAK, UNIT IS A 1ST FLOOR UNIT BENEATH #217. UNIT #217 HAS NO LEAK PROBLEM AND MANAGEMENT RECEIVED NO COMPLAINTS FROM 217. MANAGER MIA STATED RAIN WAS BLOWING SIDEWAYS, THEY RECEIVED ALOT OF RAIN THAT DAY AND HAVE SINCE CAULKED THE WINDOW. I ASKED MANAGEMENT TO CAULK THE WINDOW AGAIN BOTH INSIDE AND OUT, ASKED THEY COVER THE HOLES INSIDE THE TRACK AND CAULK SOME ADDITIONAL AREAS OUTSIDE ON THE STUCCO. I EXPLAINED WHEN TUCSON GETS MONSOON RAINS WHEN THE RAIN IS BLOWING HORIZONTAL THAT UNEXPLAINABLE THINGS HAPPEN AND IT SOUNDS LIKE ONE OF THOSE INSTANCES. IT HAS RAINED SINCE AND THERE WERE NO LEAKS.
** NO NOV WAS ISSUED DUE TO MINOR REPAIRS THAT WERE NOT GIVEN TO THE MANAGER. MANAGEMENT STATED SHE WOULD GET PARTS AND MAKE REPAIRS BY FRIDAY. I EXPLAINED I WOULD BE BACK BY FRIDAY AND IF THE REPAIRS WERE NOT COMPLETED, THAT I WOULD ISSUE A NOV AT THAT TIME ONLY BECAUSE THESE WERE VERY MINOR REPAIRS. (FOLLOW UP ON 9/02)
