| 08/01/2016 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a house fire. T.F.D. did call that the units were going to leave the site but did want the inspector still go to the site to check the cooler. Arrived and a maintenance man was on site and making the correction on an outlet that had smoke coming out of the outlet. The outlet was used for the cooler where a cord was connected to operate the cooler. The outlet was removed and replaced with a grounded outlet. The outlet needs to be replaced with a double prong outlet due to has a 2-wire system and will be changed tomorrow. Did plug the cooler back in and it started and started to smoke at the motor which appears to have frozen. The maintenance man went and found another motor and replaced the motor and hooked everything back up. Again ran the cooler and it worked and was not smoking. The cord for the cooler will be replaced with an appliance cord tomorrow. The unit was lacking smoke detectors and will be installed tomorrow. Due to the cooler working, left the site and will check tomorrow or the items that need to be changed and installed. No paper work served due to the issues have been resovled and will only check what is being requesed to have done. Will check in 10 days. RV. |
