| 07/28/2016 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | Received call from communication that Engine #7 on site with a water flow alarm or a broken water line. Arrived and the units were extracting some of the water from the 3rd floor and was leaking from the ceiling. The sprinkler head has gone off in the attic area of unit #324. The water was turned off to the sprinkler system until the head can be replaced. The maintenance was on site and not able to isolate the electrical to the area being wet with the water, so than all the electrical was turned off at the switch gear on the first floor. There was no labling on the panels to determine which breaker to turn off to the units that were getting the water. Did get with the maintenance to call a electrical contractor to come to the site to check if the areas getting wet could be isolated. The maintenace was also advised to call someone to change the sprinkler head and to get the fire system back on line. The fire units were leaving the site and fire inspectors were on site until the sprinkler system is back on line. RV. |
