07/27/2016 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved Received a call from communication that T.F.D. on site with a blown off roof. Arrived and no units on site and found a tenant and showed me the area of the roof being blown off. Did meet with a tenant and he showed me the roof damage. Was able to get on the roof and took some pictures of the roof damage. The roof sheathing is still intact and over half of the roof covering is lifted and folded over to the other side of the roof. The electrical service wires are near the blown off roof and will request that the wires be cut at the pole in case the roof covering is blown off more with the high winds at this time. Did find vehicles that were near the building and had those moved that could be moved. Had no management on site but did find a tenant that had called the owners rep. for the property and was able to talk to her on the phone while on site. The rep. was sending another person to assist on the damage. The units that were affected with the damage are #5, #6, #7, #8, and S. Unit S is only affected by the power being removed from the property and has no damage to the structure. The other units are affected by the roof covering being removed and exposing the roof sheathing. While on site did have another storm and the ceiling started to leak. Did the posting of "Do Not Enter" on the front doors and they do have rear doors to the driveway in the rear of the property with out postings. The tenants were place in a hotel for the night and tomorrow will be making arrangement were they are going. One tenant will be staying on the property on a unit that is next door of the damage building and is not part of the building. Did request that the service wires be cut at the pole by T.E.P. due to worried that if the wind pushes the roof covering more, that it fall off the roof and pull the wires down on the ground. T.E.P. had no E.T.A. to the property and left the site. Did call communication on the request and will let T.E.P. know what needs to be done. Southwest gas was on site and the gas meter were pinned due to the gas lines on the roof were broken. One gas line is sticking sraight up in the air where pulled apart. The electrical and gas will require a reconnect permit to have restored. Will check in 10 days. RV.
