The fire was where wood chips were place in a area where the kids would play on the east side of the building. During the investigation, found cigarette butts and were found in the area that burned. The fire reached a level where heat got next to a metal conduit and the circuit was on and was turned off due not sure if heat affected the wiring inside the conduit. The circuit was for an AC. Will be requesting that an electrican check the wiring for heat damage. No one was on site and not able to make contact with the owner or workers of the property which is a day care center due to being closed. Did leave a card on the door to call. The fire investigator was going to do the same. All the other power was left on to the structure and only the panel was off which had 3-breakers to a conduit that went to the roof parapet to other boxes. Will check on Monday. RV. |
