Arrived and T.P.D. on site with a house that has been divided into 2-units on the same electrical system and the electrical has been turned off at the meter due to lacking payment. Did check the rear unit and currently has extension cords that are connected to mobile homes that are next door. The mobile homes are vacant at this time. The extension cords went into the rear unit and were connect to surge protectors and then other extension cords were connected to other items and appliances. While going inside the rear unit found a smell of sewage. The plumbing is backing up from the front unit and backing up into the rear unit. Did flush the toilet and the water is coming out of the bottom of the toilet. The sink in the bathroom is backed up once water was ran into the sink. The rear unit is being condemned due to lacking electrical to the unit and the plumbing backing up.
Did check the front unit and it also has no electrical and did check the electrical meter and has a red tag for lacking payment. Did get permission to check the interior of the unit and all is OK. The front unit was also condemned due to lacking electrical. Did have a second bathroom that is having issues with the plumbing and at this time is not being used. Did talk to the owner on site and he will be making the house into one unit. The rear unit will be changed to connect to the front unit. The owner signed all the paper work and will check on Monday to try and get the power back on. Did do the posting of Do Not Enter" on both units. The tenants from the rear unit will be moving out on the weekend. They are trying to get the money refunded and advised that is legal and will have to talk to someone that deals with legal issues. All the tenants left the site and the tenants locked there property. Will do research on the house and will get back with the owner. RV.
