11/17/2016 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved The unit is still vacant and secured. The front gate is locked with a chain and lock. Did talk to the manager and no work has been done and the items are still in the unit that belong to the tenant. The management is hoping to remove the items out of the unit in a few weeks and won't do the repairs for a few months due to lacking money. Will check in 90 days. RV.
07/20/2016 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved T.P.D. called and the tenant was found in the unit. He was cited by T.P.D. for stealing power from another unit. The tenant was asked to leave the unit and will be taking the dogs. Arrived and the tenant has left the property and the manager has control of the unit. The tenant will be coming back to remove the items out of the unit at a later date. Was able to check the unit and take pictures. Did find where the outlets and switches have been removed or pulled out to connect the extension cords to give power to the unit for some of the lighting. The extension cord did go to a booster and that had other extension cords going to other appliances or lighting. Did have a cooler hanging from the ceiling and not sure if operable. Alot of the outlets and switches have been filled with drywall mud. Some of the vents for the cooling have also been covered with drywall mud. Found patch work through out the unit where patched and the maintenance has not been in the unit to do the patch work. The interior of the unit is cluttered with electronics, tools, bikes, storage and other items and hard to walk around the unit due to the amount items in the unit. The posting is still in place and the manager is monitoring the unit with the tenant. Will check in 30 days. RV.
