06/03/2016 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved VISITED SITE, IT WAS DIFFICULT TO FIND THE ADDRESS, AND I DROVE THE FRONT AND ENDED UP APPROACHING THE STRUCTURE FROM THE CITY PROPERTY TO THE NORTH. I WAS LOOKING FOR IMMINENT HAZARDS, FINDINGS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
>GROUND LEVEL STRUCTURE APPEARS IT IS BEING USED AS A STORAGE AREA WITH FEW PERSONAL PERSONAL BELONGINGS SCATTERED INSIDE.
>EXTERIOR WALLS WERE OLD ORIGINAL ADOBE, FOUND 4 X 4 POSTS ADDED TO THE EXTERIOR OF THE WALL WITH SOME 2 X4 CROSS BRACING TO HELP STABILIZE THE WALL AND TARPS WERE THROWN OVER THE ADOBE TO PREVENT DETERIORATION.
>THERE IS A POURED CONCRETE FLOOR, AND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STRUCTURE A 2 X 4 BASE PLATE, (GREEN PLATE) WAS PLACED ON THE FLOOR DOWN THE MIDDLE AND EACH RAFTER HAD BEEN SHORED UP INDIVIDUALLY BY PLACING ANOTHER 2 X 4 NAILED ON TO THE RAFTER AND SECURED TO THE 2 X 4 BASE PLATE.
>THE 1 X 6 ROOF SHEATHING WAS COVER WITH GRANULATED ROLLED ROOFING, ROOFING IS OLD.
>THE REAR YARD IS BUSY WITH TREES AND SHRUBS.
>THE MAIN HOUSE WAS A DIFFERENT LEVEL FROM THE REAR STRUCTURE BUT I SEE NO IMMENENT HAZARDS
>STRUCTURE IS IN LOCAL WEST UNIVERSITY HISTORIC PRESERVATION ZONE (HPZ) AND REQUIRES REVIEW AND APPROVAL FOR ANY MODIFICATIONS OR CHANGES TO STRUCTURE; CASE WILL BE CLOSED AT THIS TIME.
