The exterior lights have been removed that were on the zip cord. Does have a trench from the pedistal to the rear of the trailer and not done with the trench which is for the feeders. 07/07/2016 | INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE | Approved | Met with the owner and a electrician and went over what needed to be done. Did show that the inspection at 2-different times indicated that the service to the other mobile home needed to be removed from unit #1. At this time the mobile home is marked as unit #3. The owner did state that there is a unit #2 but is further down and has it's own power and pedistal. Did have Rick Hollander show to the property and he also went over the correction that are going to be required. Did find where the breaker in the pedistall is the only disconnect device to remove power to the mobile home if required to be turned off. The wiring that feeds the mobile home appears to be in a PVC conduit and is undersize due to filled tight. Has no box at the mobile home where it connects to the panel to feed the mobile home. The ground rod is in the air approx. 30" and needs to be all in the ground. Did go over the different medthods of installation ground rods due to lacking the second ground rod. The ground wire appears to be to small and will have it changed to a larger size. Did go over the splices on the west side of the mobile home and was told that some were dead. Did request that if the wiring is not being used and has no power, that they need to be cut and removed from the area. Has some lighting at the top of the mobile home on zip cord that needs to be removed and re-done to code if to remain in use for lighting. The water heater has been spliced in and not connected on the top of the water heater to supply the water heater. Had a GFCI added to the east of the mobile home by the main door and is lacking the bubble cover. Has a sewer pipe that is filled with rags and plastic bags covering the opening and did ask if a cap can be installed due to the rags and plastic bags may fall in the pipe and than will have a back up. Lacking smoke detector on the interior and lacking the dead front for the pedistal. Some globes are lacking on some of the lighting. Did go over that a permit is being required due to the amount of work being need to be in compliance. The contractor did ask what type of permit and did go over that it may be a 2-hour general inspection and will need to explain what is going to be done to the property. Will do N.O.V. RV. | |
07/06/2016 | INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE | Approved | Met with the tenants and did and inspection. Found splice wiring on the west side of the mobile home on the exterior under the floor, lighting has been added on the top of the mobile home on zip cord and connected to a washer machine, water heater has been sliced to other wiring and not connected property and is currently spliced, GFCI lacking bubble cover, lacking working smoke detectors, sewer piper has rags and plastic bags to cover the opening, lacking globes on some of the lighting, the cooler is leaking and flooded on dirt floor, ground rod sticking out of the ground and doing research of the inspection done on the mobile home, found where not to be connected to unit #1. Called the owner to let him know on what is being done and will meet tomorrow. He did call back several time to check on other correction that will be needed to be in compliance. RV. |
